European Super League ndio habari ya mjini kwa sasa, Hii ndio kauli ya vilabu 12 vilivyoiunda ligi hiyo

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham are among the 12 clubs that have agreed to join the Premier League (ESL).

In a move that could destabilize football in Europe, the Premier League clubs will join AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid in forming a new continental league.

ESL said the founding clubs had agreed to launch a "new midweek competition" with developing teams "competing in their national leagues".

It says the launch season is "intended to start as soon as possible" and "expected three more clubs to join" the league.

ESL says it also plans to launch a women's tournament as soon as the men's tournament starts.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson, Uefa and the English Premier League condemned the move to launch the European Premier League when the news was released on Sunday.

Fifa has previously said it would not recognize such a tournament and any players involved in such matches could be denied the opportunity to play in the World Cup.

Uefa, the governing body of European football, echoed the warning on Sunday when it said players involved would be banned from all other competitions at home, European or world level and could be barred from representing their national teams.

After the European Premier League was announced, Fifa expressed "disapproval" of the proposed tournament and called on "all parties involved in the negotiations to engage in calm, constructive and profitable negotiations for the game of football".

In a statement, ESL said: "Going forward, the founding clubs look forward to negotiating with Uefa and Fifa to work together to deliver better results for the new league and for football in general."

Why is it this time?

There were talks in October, involving Wall Street bank JP Morgan, over a new £ 4.6 billion tournament that will replace the Champions League.

Uefa were hopeful the plans for the 36-team Champions League - and the reforms confirmed on Monday - would halt the formation of the Super League.

However, the 12 teams involved in the Super League do not think the reforms are going far.

They said the Corona catastrophe around the world "has accelerated the instability in the current European economic economy".

Under the proposals, the ESL campaign would begin in August each year, and there would be mid-week matches, with clubs divided into two groups of 10 clubs, playing against each other at home and away.

The top three teams in each group will advance to the quarter-finals, with the number four and five teams playing two-legged matches for the remaining two.

From then on, it will have the same structure as the Champions League for two-legged matches before the One-Phase Finals in May in a stronghold of any club that has reached the finals.

ESL says the league will generate more money than the Champions League and will lead to greater revenue distribution throughout the tournament.

What have ESL league leaders said?

Juventus and AC Milan have joined an agreement to form a new major league

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is the first chairman of ESL and says "we will support football at every level".

"Soccer is the only sport in the world with over four billion fans and our role as big clubs is to respond to their demands," he added.

Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli has resigned from the Uefa executive committee and chaired the European Union (ECA) club, which had pushed for a planned Champions League reform.

He said the 12 clubs had "met at this crucial moment, enabling the European competition to be rescheduled, and put our favorite game on a sustainable basis for many days to come".

Manchester United co-chairman Joel Glazer will be vice-chairman of the Super League.

He said: “By bringing together the biggest clubs and players in the world to play each season, the Super League will open a new chapter for European football, ensure competition and world-class facilities, and increase financial support to bring football to its peak.

How have the answers  been ?

Basically, there have been accusations and curses from anyone who is not in the plans to start the new league.

Johnson said the plans would be "very bad for football" and French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed French clubs refusing to join.

Uefa issued a joint statement with the English Football Confederation, the Premier League, the Spanish Football Federation, La Liga and the Italian Football Federation, as well as Serie A, stating that "they will remain united" in an effort to end secession, using "all available measures". .

Among the former players, former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder Danny Murphy told BBC Sport the plans were "soulless", and former Manchester United captain Gary Neville told Sky Sports he was "absolutely disgusted", while his former teammate Rio Ferdinand said on BT Sport that the proposals would hurt more fans.

Is this  Betrayal  ?

The fan groups associated with all six English clubs are strongly opposed to the Super League.

Liverpool's Spirit of Shankly (SOS) supporters have said they are "shocked" by the decision of Fenway Sports Group, the owner of the US club.

In a message on social media, SOS said: “FSG has ignored fans in their quest for extortion and money laundering. The ball is ours, not theirs. Our football club is ours and not theirs. ”

The Chelsea Supporters Foundation called the move "unforgivable" and said its members and "football fans around the world have experienced a last resort".

The Arsenal Supporters Foundation called the club's agreement to join "Arsenal's death as a sports institution".

A group of Manchester City FC supporters said the move showed "those involved did not have much respect for the ideology of the game" and had "decided to fight against the proposed Premier League".
